Aeroswift - A LEADING ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY
The Aeroswift technology was developed in response to a number of limitations identified in available metal 3D printers.
ADC Aeroswift is a Pretoria based company, focussed on metal 3D printing for high-tech applications. We have developed the world’s largest and fastest powder bed metal 3D printer, in collaboration with the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in South Africa.
The technology allows us to produce highly complex geometries to provide cost-effective solutions to demanding applications.
Advanced Manufacturing Technology
Additive Manufacturing (or 3d Printing) is a relatively new manufacturing technology. The technology is used to manufacture parts layer-by-layer, directly from computer generated 3d models. With this technology, parts can be “built” by sequentially melting layers of fine metal powder with a laser.
Aeroswift has the potential to revolutionise manufacturing by allowing for the production of large, highly complex parts, with minimal material wastage. Increased production rates, coupled to the design freedom offered by the technology, can lead to drastic cost reduction in the Aerospace and other industries.
We have a team of dedicated engineers and technologists to support the whole value chain – from working with the customer to optimise the design, to delivering a part according to final mechanical and dimensional specifications.
